Like Jonathan said. Not that hard to get to the control.

However, DO NOT open the control unit until you're at a table with a clean 
cloth on it so that you can catch the parts that WILL fall out (don't ask me 
how I know this......).

My seat did not want to go forward and I fixed my switch.

Once you've opened the box, there'll be a lot of loose stell balls and 
springs. Make sure you don't loose any.

All I did was clean the contacts and add a dab of MB white grease to the 
balls and springs. Works great again.
