Hi Nils-Helge:

I'm going to suggest you unplug the bumper sensor from the display where
it connects under the fusebox. Then take a resistance reading to see if
the sensor has gone bad. While under the fuse holder tray, check for
any burnt wires on that probe circuit just in case in came into contact
with a hot fuse base and melted a bit. Not likely but, check anyway.
Problem is I do not know the equivalent values in the cd manual that
relate ohms to actual ambient air temp to confirm that probe is good or
no good. Anyone got the chart handy to post here?
