Both the cars and the transmission can handle it, if setup properly.
My car was run extensively with it, without any problem except shattered
clutch packs in the transmission.
Make sure you get a 'wet-kit' and have a reputable tuner install it. Make
sure the nitrous and fuel don't spray directly onto the cylinder walls, but
instead are evenly fogged straight into the intake manifold. And run the
car a bit rich just in case.

Subject: [W126 Coupe] nitrous
Does anyone have any experience with nitrous oxide on their car? I would
like to win an occasional drag against the rice burners at the traffic
lights.
Turbo-charging is expensive & supercharging more so, & hardly worth the
expense for a 30 second blast, but I don't want to end up with a melted
engine!
