[W126 Coupe] 560SEC trunk emblem

hat is the proper procedure for removing the "560SEC"  emblem from the
trunk? There is no access to it from inside the trunk lid. - Thanks in
advance for your help. - Terry

  If you look at the inside surface of the trunk where the emblem fits
thru, you will see 2 small pins (part of the emblem) that press into nylon
bushings or grommets which are pressed into the trunk lid.
 With a small Phillips screwdriver, or similar tool, push on those pins
equally until the emblem is out  far enough to get a plastic or wood putty
knife under it.
  Then just pull it out.
