[W126 Coupe] 1983 380 SL

I'm not sure if you'd be interested, but a guy that I worked with until recently has an '84 (I think) Euro 500SL. Silver/grey int., sheepskins on seats, BBS wheels. The convertible top looks like brand new even though its the original. Car has always been garaged. It has 54K on it. He was asking $8000. While not a concours winner, it is very presentable. Wish I had a better picture of the car. Its in between the two black SLs in this picture taken at our April Long Boat Key get together.

Hi Dick & Jonathan.  Thanks for the info on 83 380 SL's (re: My son is looking into purchasing a 1983 380  SL.  I saw it with him tonight. Etc.).  I have passed this info onto my son.

A VIN check indicates original dealer as - United States.  I am not sure about the timing chain.  The colour of the car is "Lapis Blue Metallic" and the rust bubbles were in various areas: rft passenger fender; driver door and trunk door edge as well as trunk edge (all small, but still there).  Didn't have the facilities, las night, to view the under carriage.

I believe my son will pass on this car which was said to be pristine.
