[W126 Coupe] Disconnect suspensio switch linkage

Hey all,

Had the rear suspension looked at in my 89 earlier this week.  The guy
said he thought the linkage was seized.  Are the ball and socket
joints supposed to pop apart like the ones on a throttle linkage?  The
guy didn't think so, but I thought I'd check.
