[W126 Coupe] Expensive??

Barry,

I agree, the fintail gets the most attention! I also drive a 1963
model, but a 220b (not S)

It's starting to rust though (not visible on the photograph), and in
need of some work. But an
absolutely wonderful car to drive. I have in my life never seen as
reliable car as the W111.
I've literally let mine stand outside in the winter for 5 months, and
it started first time. And the
engines are completely bulletproof. What a pleasure :-)

It's a very different kind of pleasure to the 560SEC though... But
strangely, a much more direct
car with somewhat better handling (there is a reason they won the
Monte Carlo rally with one of these -
I think it was 1959?).

Enjoy your cars! (while we can still afford to put fuel in them)
