[W126 Coupe] Dead Pedal

How bad is it? If it's not too bad (say broken at only one or two points), you can fix it using some fiberglass cloth and 2 part epoxy (the clear kind that is a very slow drying gel, not the grey kind that's a paste). You can get the fiberglass cloth anywhere that sells remote controlled airplanes.

Greetings, all--------

The driver's side dead pedal has broken on both our SECs.  That's left-hand drive cars (USA).  I checked the archives and found only two threads, in 2002 and 2005.  Have many others had this problem?  Has anybody constructed a clone of fiberglass, to prevent a reoccurrence?
