The Lamda is what controls the O2 sensor and the enrichment or leaning
out process to make these cars smog legal in the US. Neutronics was a
aftermarket company that manufactured these systems for Benz and BMW
specifically designes for Bosch F.I. It consists of a computer, O2
sensor, frequency valve, and wiring harness, that has connections to the
battery and to the warm up regulator, and the frequency valve. When it
does not work correctly it causes havoc with the fuel mixture.
