[W126 Coupe] 89 560 sec with engine miss and rich, poor idle

Nothing one can do to repair it to like new..  I've heard some have had 
limited success gluing the chrome back to the plastic. 

That aside, I recommend you might consider purchasing new whilst it is 
still available...more and more 126 items are going NLA each month.
