[W126 Coupe] 2.82 Rear Diff for 84 500SEC

$1000. That's crazy dough. 
Get a diff from a 450SL/SLC/SE  (W116)
I'll have to check but I think they are a 3.09?? Anyway it is stamped on the outside diff casing.
Look at my other quite recent posts on diffs and all whole the story is there. They are not LS but then neither was your stock diff from a 500.
There is 15 minutes work to change the drive shafts off a 450 diff and replace with the flanges from your old SEC diff.
Just been down this road myself.
Phenomenal difference to the car.

  I read in the archives' that they used to exist.  I can still get the gear set from the dealer but he wants $1000.
