[W126 Coupe] 1985 500 sec water pump

Does it make a difference if the replaced water pump is 116 instead of the 
standard 117?  Just had one put on, had no prior problem with the pep in my 
car but after the new pump replacement my car feels a bit sluggish starting 
out.  Would the water pump affect this?
