Subject: Re: [W126 Coupe] Pellet gun attack conclusion
HI everyone,
I got my windshield replaced today at a not so happy to my wallet price of $258.00 Then the curse continued when I went over some railroad tracks and blew the fuse that controls the power antenna and the seatbelt light in the roof. I replaced the number 2 fuse as the label indicated, but still nothing. I could see that an 8 amp fuse below that one was blown and when I replaced it, all was good until I did a lighting check and then the fog light was out. I replaced that no problem. So, I got curious and did an under hood inspection and saw that my hydraulic fluid reservoir bottle was half filled. Should it be close to the top or is half full good guys. I know the ride is kind of bouncy over bumps and I did buy a new set of accumulators, but I had surgery in late April and still do not have that kind of flexibility yet to really get at it. They have been in the box since October and I will try to get it done by a mechanic friend soon. Is it possible that a half full hydraulic fluid bottle would cause the ride to have a bouncy feel over bumps?
Sincerely,
John
The hydraulic fluid bottle has a dip stick in its top cap. Fluid level is determined by where the fluid is on the dip stick. If it's below the min mark add more till its at the full mark, just be sure to use only MB Hyd. Fluid.
