[W126 Coupe] Leaking Front end!

You don't say where the water is, but if your first thought is the windshield, I assume the wet floors are in the front. Is it worse in the one side?
Look at the simple things first. For example, if you haven't tried yet, put the bonnet in the vertical position. Check the screen/drain corners of the plastic drain pan at the bottom of the windshield to make sure they are not plugged with debris. Pour a cup of water down each side. The water should immediately dribble from the drain hose at the back of the front wheel wells. If it doesn't, look inside your car. The cup of water could be feeding a fresh crop of carpet mildew.
Unlikely that the heater is leaking because you would have gagged on the antifreeze in the car.
