Jack,

I managed to find a suitable pair of LEDS on ebay after a few failures. They
fit right in easily and can be changed like a regular bulb. They emit a WHITE
light unlike the yellow light that the 2 watt bulbs give and most of all run
cool.I also have a blue pair that are not quite as bright even though they
are the same design.I can change them inside one minute if I had to!

I use two locked suction caps(a bathroom accessory from hardware suppliers)
on the outer glass and a quick pull and the whole cluster is out!

Don't try 5 watt bulbs...they will melt the diffuser!

However the best thing I did was to change the dials to a white backing with
chrome rings to reflect the light properly.I cleaned everything inside too!

I can send you a pic personally, or on this site of the bulbs( Don't know
the ebay item number now!) and white dials.I have that info too and the
contact in Texas (USA)

I did in fact fit LEDS to the tails but it was rather poor light so I will
wait for better ones to come along.

I got some nice 6 LED festoon lamps fitted to the door undersides that match
my chrome light-up sills too! Maybe a bit off beat but most like it.

Not as bad as fitting a crazy oversized wing on the rear or cutting big
holes for 6 x9's in the door trims!

Cheers...Barry QLD AUS
