Hi Bob:

Just follow Jonathan's advise if you are experiencing flaring between
gears. I've been able to make subtle adjustments with just a few clicks
CW and not being a pro wrench, I've always done that adjustment 1 click
at a time until I got it right. CW decreases the flare, CCW will
increase the flare. Jonathan being a pro has a lot more experience with
how far you can turn that key than I.

All of this presumes that you are getting the right shift points, if not
then the Bowden cable is what you should be adjusting.
