Hi Bob:
The early model SEC's have several major differences one of them being
the front hub diameter the other, for what it's worth, being the front
fender flare.
Get the correct wheel offset on the wheel and forget about the spacers
up front on your 380SEC. H&R does make a set that say say DO fit the
SEC for all model years. This is incorrect. There may be another
spacer mfg. out there that does make the needed allowance for the front
wheels on the early model SEC but, I could not tell you who that mfg is.
Been there done that with spacers and had exactly the problem Clay has
encountered. I sold at a considerable loss the 18 inch after market
rims, tires and both front and rear H&R spacers with lug bolts. I then
located an exact fit set of Lorrinser 18 inch rims that bolted right up
eliminating the vibration and other hassles with the front end. The
result is a perfect track with 10 inch wide rear and 9 up front for width.
Just my 2 albeit an emphatic 2.
