Greg, looks great.  I did the same thing to an aftermarket [AMG type]
bumper.  Don't park headon in parking lots where other vehicles can hit it.
Mine lasted a week before it was hit by a BIG Dodge Pickup.  I also took
apart the Grille and painted the black faded plastic the body color.  In my
case that is Smole Silver Metallic.  I think it looks good.   Ed

I am preparing my 84 for paint and I could not leave the bumper alone. So

       here is the same bumper after my modification. I have net put the
chrome or fog lights back on.
