[W126 Coupe] Assistance on Ignitor Module Crashes

[Kivendren]

I am currently using a 4 cyl ignitor module that works fine but has a rev
limiter at 6200 Rpm thus the V8 Is cutting out at 3100RPM. 

 

I bought this ignitor yesterday (See Below):

 

Result was as follows: Car  started (sounded Great) then I tried starting it
again and it was just cranking so I had to revert back to the 4 cylinder one
then she cranked and started right up. 

 

This is the second one I have purchased..

 

Is it possible that something is causing these boxes to blow? 

Why would the 4 cylinder one keep working?? 

 

Please help me experience top RPM again.
