[W126 Coupe] Interesting event

You should have tried shifting into top gear.  The 560SEC should be able to reach 196kph in third, 250+ in top.  That's 122mph in third and 155 in top.

I've tried mine plenty of times - 190kph without too much drama, and it gets there pretty quickly.

BTW I don't know if anyone else has had this experience but my passenger side windscreen wiper detached from the arm while I was driving (crawling along at 80kph/50MPH).  Made a huge racket, left nasty scratches on the roof.  I unscrewed the arm.  Now I have a single blade wiper - looks really quite cool!!  Only misses about 6~8cm on the passenger's side (4~5 inches).
