[W126 Coupe] bumper / fog light brackets

Steve, I have a 1984 500SEC euro, grey market car. Having a part number really helps because the nearest dealer is 100 miles away.

  From EPConline it shows that part as A 126 885 34 14 Bracket, Foglamp. The fastener is A 000 984 17 35 Clinch-bolt, Bracket to Bumper. 


  Would help to know what year and model you are talking about.

      The fog lights are not supposed to be bolted to the bumper.

      The brakets carrying the bumpers on the SEC have mounting plates for the fog 
      lights. The bumper brakets for the SE/L do not.

      Is your car a gray market import? If so, when the importer did the 
      federalization they probably got the bumper brackets for an SE/L and just 
      bolted the fog lights to whatever.

      You can get a set of SEC bumper brakets at a junk yard, or on ebay.
