[W126 Coupe] bumper / fog light brackets

Lou,

The fog lights are not supposed to be bolted to the bumper.

The brakets carrying the bumpers on the SEC have mounting plates for the fog
lights. The bumper brakets for the SE/L do not.

Is your car a gray market import? If so, when the importer did the
federalization they probably got the bumper brackets for an SE/L and just
bolted the fog lights to whatever.

You can get a set of SEC bumper brakets at a junk yard, or on ebay.
