[W126 Coupe] sunroof

I had the same problem on my 1987 560 SEC,I found that the rubber had dislodged from the rear of the sunroof frame.  My question is does the rubber reattach with adhesive or will I have to remove the whole rubber piece to reattach?

Where is the popping noise coming from?
