Dan,
No-fun car? Yes, I agree that depends what you want. A/C? That really depends a lot on your climate. Hard to believe, but people (albeit tougher people) HAVE lived without A/C in some less pampered areas of the world.
On the upside, that car would average well over 21 mpg (US), has 1st gear start from factory... lighter than the 560... avoids old A/C, climate control system problems, hydraulic suspension and a slew of other chronic and expensive problems regularly discussed in this site. And it does have ABS, which solves one shortcoming with pre-'85 models.
We discuss with great wringing of hands how to get an extra 10HP from an engine and here is one with 30% more hp (almost 50hp) than the N. American model... most going to the wheels. (204hp from a 380 vs what? 235hp from a 560?)
(I'm not even counting European headlamps, bumpers, velour interior.....)
I am not arguing against creature comforts. I'm just saying that it sounds like a unique neat driver... and stock...a rare find, if the price is right. Like I said, it depends what you want, and if you live in a climate causing the level of your arm-pit activity alarming enough to regularly set off smoke detectors, this car is not for you.
It doesn't have a sunroof, so it's not for me either.

Obviously it is quite spartan, no air, but has ABS, an antenna (?), anti-theft and a fire extinguisher.THAT, sir would be a GREAT CAR!! But it lists no sunroof. Is that right? It should have twin exhaust, no cat, and 204hp. Likes best 94+ octaneI guess that depends on what someone is looking for. With the small 204HP engine that wants 94 octane, and no air, it wouldn't be much fun on the street. Maybe a solid shell to turn into a race car?-- Netiquette: <http://landiss.com/email.html>
