[W126 Coupe] 1989 560SEC for sale

Hello everyone,

I've been on the list since the old 560sec.com days. I've owned my coupe for about 10 years. Sadly, now it is time for me to sell.

I haven't had the time to put into the car lately and unfortunately, because of the current business climate, don't see myself having the time or money to renovate my favorite car in the near future. So, I'm offering it to the group in hopes that one of you can give this great car the TLC it deserves.

I'll start with an asking price of $3,500 (based on KBB value for a car in "fair" condition). Will negotiate on the price point. As far as I know, I'm the 2nd owner. The car has about 215,000 miles on it. The last major work was a complete top end rebuild at about 150,000 miles (had the dreaded head gasket leak). The car has not been run regularly during the past 2 years, however, the engine still idles and drives smoothly and the transmission shifts well.

There is some rust forming around the rear driver's side wheel well. Paint needs attention. Interior could also use some attention as well -- mainly the headliner. As with any car like this, you'll want to have an independent inspection.

The car is located in Wilmington, Delaware -- about 40 miles south of Philadelphia, PA. I don't currently have recent photos of the car, but will make arrangements in the next week or so. I've recently relocated to Syracuse, NY and the car is being stored at my brother's house.
