[W126 Coupe] CAT/Resonator Question

I have a 1991 560 SEC with a Remus exhaust and no resonators – the car does
NOT sound like a Mercedes and I like the sound. The sound is deep and
rumbling especially when I accelerate aggressively or let off on the
throttle. With the resonators on, the sound is much more quiet. I still have
the original resonators, muffler and tail pipes, but I won’t put them on.
