[W126 Coupe] 1985 a/c compressor for 1985 500sec (Gray Market)

My vin is WDB1260441A090830.  By the way, I live about 15 minutes from Dick 
Spellman and I actually grew up in his neighborhood in Randolph.  I replaced 
the heater/dryer already and converted the car from the old a/c system to 
the new R12 system last summer but I went to use it this summer and the 
compressor which I also just replaced didn't work.  I also replaced the 
climate control switch so It appears as though the only thing I need to do 
is replace the compressor.  The mechanic told me the clutch is warped and 
that is why it is making the noise it is and not working.  Let me know what 
you think.
