Hi Steve:
Where is the drip coming from? If you add Dexron III though the
dipstick tube you should be fine. Do not allow any dirt or lint to
enter the tranny when filling. Be very clean. How many miles since the
last full tranny service? Fluid, filter, torque converter drained, etc.
Lastly, you mention engine up to temp, MB on level ground. Did you
place the car in gear and work through all the shift points at least
once each? PRND21 then back to P. Now check the level. Is the fluid
red or orange looking? Does the fluid smell burnt?
What prompted the adjustment to the vacuum modulator T?
I'm traveling a fair bit this week but others will I'm certain chime in
after you post a note or two on the above questions.
Take care,
Dick
