[W126 Coupe] Rear Window Tinting

Sounds like an inexperienced tinter. I wouldn't let him touch my car, he
might break some fragile trim. Either way, I would stay to watch to be sure
nothing gets broken (and to help out). Professional tinters, even those
$100 tint deals, should already include any trim removal necessary, adding
anything on that to get more money is simply ripping you off.

Hi Terry:
If you stay to watch I think you will be okay because you can step in
with an extra hand if needed. He's got to lift that brush (the inner
rubber up against the glass) off of the chassis rail where it's clipped
in a few spots right up until you hit the door pillar. It's just how
you hold or handle the brush once you have lifted it that I'd be
concerned with. You don't want to separate that rubber where it runs
over the door pillar to the outer brush. Probably pretty easy to crack
after all of these years.
Good luck.
