[W126 Coupe] Rear Bulkhead Rust / Rear Window Seal Leaking

Hi, can anyone help me re. the common problem I believe on W126 models,
the leaking of water through the ill-fitting rear-window seal over many
years, which allows water in to the bulkhead area under the rear window,
completely rusting that area....

I'm trying to determine if there is a Mercedes body part available /
previously available / any other advice on replacing the bulkhead across
the rear of the car (i.e. between the 2 rear quarters) and if so any
experience anyone has of what it looks like, what it is called, what it
takes to replace it either via the 'official' part or by fashioning
'manually', rough cost, etc.

Sorry the question is so general but it's an area of the car I know
little about (and about the only area I haven't spent money on !). Any
help much appreciated.

Many Thanks,
Mike

165,000 miles, still runs like a dream.
But...body rusting (due to the weather in the UK not being quite as dry
as California !)
