Clay, I would hope the dealer would have checked this, but the easiest thing to check is the vacuum line going to the headlamp, since they are vacuum controlled. Maybe its as easy as the vacuum line having come off, or there is a leak in the line, etc. One way to make sure the lamp is ok is to "swap" the lines from the good/working lamp, assuming you can get the line to reach or extend to that spot. Good luck,MarkusMarkus Meyer484-919-9762 (cell)http://www.meyerprobateproperties.com/--- On Tue 04/10, Clay Woodward < clay500 at msn.com > wrote:From: Clay Woodward [mailto: clay500 at msn.com]To: mbcoupes at mbcoupes.comDate: Tue, 10 Apr 2007 13:56:10 -0400Subject: [W126 Coupe] 83 Euro w/Adjustable HeadlampsI have one lamp that the adjustment does not work by turning the inside control knob. My Left headlamp works find adjusting up and down. The right one does not. The Mercedes dealer determine what the problem is with no luck... yes they gave up on it. This has been probably 9
or 10 years ago... Now that I found this list I feel someone here will be able to tell me what I can do to make it work. Thanks for any reply regarding this old issue that I am now interested again in trying to correct.ClayThe MB Coupes Website!W126 SEC Mailing ListPostings remain property of MB Coupes, L.L.C.
