That's good news Camran.
Actually, on the V-8 that adjustment your mechanic made is the
equivalent of the Bowden on the in-line 6 MB motor for the 126 chassis.
So, it's a bit more work on the V-8 where you have to loosen the short
bolt that locks the two linkages and then slide the linkage up or down
before tightening it up again. The in-line 6 is just a nylon thumb
adjuster at the end of the Bowden cable that you rotate to lengthen or
shorten the cable (linkage). This changes the shift points by way of
it's relation to the control cable to the tranny and the accelerator and
throttle.
