[W126 Coupe] performance

Hey All,

It's been a while since my posting on Jan. 1st. I put a Vortech
Supercharger on my 89 SEC. Runs like a rocket. Was a lot of work (fab'ed
all the parts myself). I do plan on selling the plans for a minimal cost
to anyone interested. It does require a bit of work, but can all be done
in a well stocked garage. But I'll tell you, the reward is well worth
the work. I just need to find the time to put all the info together.

The only issue I have currently is that the location of the supercharger
interferes with the Euro headlight which is much deeper - I am modifying
the brackets to make that work. Fits fine with the US headlights.

The risks? Well, for your normal driving with occasional stoplight to
stoplight brawl and running 6-7psi, it's pretty low risk of any serious
damage. If you want to run full out, for extended periods of time, well
then I agree with Jonathan, you need to be careful not to melt
something, but I guess that all goes with common sense on cars this old.
The key is not to run too lean. That is actually pretty easy to do with
the EHA.

Stay tuned and I'll get some info out here soon.

Well, there are no units out there per say...my piece as best I can tell
is an ex Koenig TT kit... Finding them these days is a Bit difficult.

Personally, I wouldn't have anyone fiddling w/ it that wasn't Very
familiar w/ CIS/CIS E.

Side effects if not done right are a melted engine...

Right now I'm fiddling w/ IHI RHB6 turbos, they should be good for about
6-7lbs. Later I'll make the switch to something w/ a larger compresor
housing/turbine wheel.

I'll keep y'all posted as it comes together.

I have given up ideas about supercharging because of the cost. I have to

have everything done by specialists, & have likewise with nitrous

is so ephemeral.
It seems that turbo charging might be within my budget for my Euro 420.
Is
this fairly straight forward for a specialist to fit & adjust/tune
controls?
What is the best unit to use & what "side effects" could I encounter?
