Japanese cars
As far as I understand most of them have their design centres in California,
most of them are making money, compared to Ford, GM, Daimler Chrysler, they
sell more vehicles than any others, and Japanese cars were seen as cheap and
poor quality for 40 years ago, today it is little bit different. And after
all how much of today's MB's are actually German built or with German parts.
I do believe for example the MB C class is built in South Africa for many
markets, not only for lhd, Volkswagen is German but VWSA exports a few
hundred thousand per year, and they do use local suppliers.
But there are other issues that make me stick to MB.
