FYI, if you are replacing your hinges, a guy who worked in MB body
repair for about 25 years has told me to be careful that the hood
springs you use are for your type of hood material (i.e. aluminum hoods
had different springs from steel hoods). He said other shops and DIYers
would bring 126's in where the hood had bent up at the back because they
were using the springs for the steel hoods on an aluminum hood.

No, sedans are part #'s 126 880 01 28 & 126 880 02 28 while coupes are
126 880 03 28 & 126 880 04 28.
