[W126 Coupe] Steering Box Play

There is play in my steering.  I've had an MB man tighten it, and it certainly has more resistance when turning the wheel, but there is still play and I'm told I'm going to have to live with it.  HUH!!!

So, what is the best approach to fixing this problem - replace the entire steering box or apply some sort of restoration kit?  And where do I get it?
