[W126 Coupe] Compatible Ignition Module

I had the same problem & it was fixed by resoldering one of the contacts in the module which had come unstuck. a five minute job.  Jack Oz

  Thanks John, Reason I am asking is, I have to give my ignition module a light tap before starting my car everyday. If I don't smack it wont start and will just keep swinging. Its like the old days whenever something never work.hit it and whalla! 

   

  Any Advice as to why I have to tap it everytime?

  Someone told me that it could be due to the Pirate (non-MB Orginal parts) HT leads.

   

  What do you think?

  Nope, it's for a 6 cylinder..you have an 8.

  Also, you should be the earlier style of EZL, ie a rectangular silver box.  I'd wager a 380 or 500 EZL from 80-85 should work.
