[W126 Coupe] 560 SEC lower performace engine - Aussie delivered.

Hello list,

I have been happily reading the list discussions for some 5 years now and
used much of the archives to sort out many of the issues I have been faced
with - Thanks guys.

The 560 SEC (1989 Euro) that I have has a lower rating on performance than
same cars in other markets of that year.

A couple of the members have mentioned this to me before and after driving
some "imports" of the same year it is clearly evident.

Next year I am going to spoil myself and build a workshop with hoist and do
the bumper to bumper rebuild.

If there is anyone on the list that knows about these "detuned" models they
may be able to suggest perhaps new cam shafts and perhaps pistons and con
rods?

She runs smoothly and is brilliant to drive - just thought it maybe pleasant
to bring it back to "normal".

Thoughts appreciated.
