[W126 Coupe] How wide tires are you running?

I remember you said you ran spacers on the back...would 245's rub
without them, or is it just a looks thing (I read one instance of 245's
rubbing on an SE, but it didn't mention offset)? Also, you run 17" Aero
II's right? Do you know what they weigh? I might be able to find a set
of those new still somewhere, and I think they look better enough than
the BBS RG-R's I'm considering (I'm starting to think that they might
look silly on 11" rotors) that if they are within 2lbs (the BBS are
18.5lbs) I might go with them.
 
Hmmmm....high stall torque convertor...what's factory, 2000rpm? But it
still wouldn't be a lockup TC, so I guess I probably shouldn't go higher
than that for the sake of highway efficiency/heat reduction.

I run 245/45 17.  Works great for me...80 plus in HEAVY Florida rain w/o
issue:):)  New tyres do a superb job of ferrying water away from your
contact patch these days.

Not sure what we'll have on torque below 2K, this is going to be a
custom grind so we'll do our best in the computer modeling but only time
will tell. 

We're not tweaking the TC unless that's something you would like done
for a higher stall.

The change in gearing will be so slight I'd be surprised if it were @
all noticeable.
