Hi Clay:
Without getting into the weeds (details) on this subject let me just
tell you the two things that matter most.
1. Hub centric work on later model 126 chassis both front and rear and
hub centric is a safety feature you should have. They DO NOT WORK on
the early models 126 on the front wheels. There is no safe way to use
spacers on the front hubs that I am aware of because you must either
grind the hub or carve away the hub-centric feature.
2. If you can get the correct offset so there is no rub and the wheel
tracks are good the only other issue will be lug bolt length. Careful
not to go too short or too long on those lug bolts. I'm afraid to
comment on the minimum # of threads needed to be safe but, on the long
side, too long will hang up your e-brakes in the rear.
