[W126 Coupe] Engine Detail

Hi, hope all is well.

I am in Bucks County, PA. I am getting a 560SEL that I would like to look great (it does look great, but I want it to look "greater").

I can handle all the usual cosmetic stuff...bumpers, wet sanding of paint, interior leather work, painting if needed, wheel refinishing, etc.

The part I am not familiar with is doing cosmetic work to the mechanical parts.

So as an example, there is surface oxidation and rust on the sway bars. Or engine bay metal parts have gotten discolored with age, or are no longer "polished" looking and instead are just dull grey. Or my AMG valve covers are dull and I would like to get them polished or powder-coated to show the AMG logo better.

I don't want all new nuts and bolts, and I am not going to Pebble Beach. I just want things to look reasonably fresh and not aged or dull when the hood is open or the car is on a lift.

Who would do this kind of work..sort of a cosmetic freshening of the undercarriage and engine bay? This request goes beyond the typical degrease, steam-clean, etc. so it looks OK in my garage.

Also, while I'd like to know the process, I need to know where I can bring or transport the car.....there is no way I have the time or ability to do this!

Thanks in advance!

SEC Guys,

Enough of you know me as Detail Queen (or Legs, whichever you prefer, all the same to me) and I have been doing engine detailing jobs all summer long in my area, and will travel. Just to remind you I am available for hire for under-hood immaculate care by a long legged long fingered female who brings perfection to your engine appearance no matter how bad it looks from the get-go. References are available if my own work and collection is not enough, and satisfaction is guaranteed. Whether you want personal pride, showroom new, a trophy, an impending sale, whatever: I can help. Just email me offline if serious and no raw comments, please, I consider myself as knowledgeable as the rest of you. Or as said another way: you drink the beer, I'll clean your engine!

Cheers,

Star Cruiser
