Hi Jim.

No it was Neil Tevez looking to upgrade US to Euro and include the 
vacuum elevation last week or so I believe.  My few MB's are all 
outfitted with the euro set-up and I did have one 300SE Euro that had a 
bad vac element a week or two back.  I rebuilt the headlamp assembly 
after learning it can be rebuilt if you are really careful with the 
fragile plastics inside.

As for the eBay vac elevation kit you are referring to, I think the pdf 
instruction is useful for someone looking to do the conversion.  Source 
new or used switch, bezel, and vac lines or just buy that kit which is a 
bit overpriced but, hey someone went to the trouble of packaging and 
documenting how it's done so it's probably worth it to the right MB owner.
