Hi, As Jack, I am also experiencing a "half" miss in my '90 560. My MBZ
indy shop has checked it out, used some injector cleaner but only can
suggest a bad or going bad injector or a fuel distributor that is
leaking slightly. The car runs out very well but this slight skip is
annoying. When the climate control is engaged is less noticeable. My '90
has 72K miles.
I have looked at used and tested fuel distributors on e bay anywhere
from $129 to $250 with no warranty and $250 with a 30 day warranty. I
know that purchased new, it's about $2300 but I don't want to throw
away $250 + frt.+ install for a hunk of junk. Has anyone had experience
with these e bayers that offer these fuel distributors from time to
time? There are three or four available now for the 500 and 560s.
Any other tips on this skip will be much appreciated from this reader as
well.
One last request, does anyone have the following two pieces of window
seals? (I learned the technical terms today) a driver's side* rear
window sealing rail *and *sealing frame* available that is left over or
in the case of the outside sealing rail, good pliable used one? Mine
tore just at the point where the rear window emerges from the window
cavity. For clarity, the o.s.r. is the horizontal rubber piece that is
outside the window held in place by the chrome strip and the sealing
frame is the rubber and felt piece on the leading edge of the rear
window. Both on drivers side. The suppliers want just over $200 + frt.
for both pieces and I'd like to save some bucks if I can.
