Camran;

If you are storing the car for 6 months buy some fuel preservative to prevent the fuel from going skunky. That will prevent gumming up the fuel system. Gasoline deteriorates quickly. The stuff goes by a number of names; just tell your auto shop what you are intending to do. Measure the recommended mix into your tank before you put the car into storage so you know it is circulated through the entire system. (Maybe someone on-line here knows of a preferred brand name.)

Some people feel starting the car from time to time keeps the oil circulated, thus coating everything in the upper engine. If you are storing the car in a heated garage starting the engine is OK. Expect the battery to discharge naturally. Outside in freezing temperature the oil (20/50? 15/40?) could be a bit thick and cause undue engine wear in the first few seconds. If your engine is equipped with a block heater, use it for a couple of hours before starting it. Your engine will thank you.
