Oh, no, they work fine. The problem is just that the little picture of a window that's on the switch has rubbed out some time over the last 20 years. Now that I found a good piece of shifter area wood for $40 and put it in my car I also want to fix up the switches.

The little pictures on mine are as good as new, but a few drops of rain through the open sunroof (previous owner/s) must have gotten into the switch mechanisms.  A previous owner decided to fix the leaky sunroof rails by removing the sunroof altogether and sealing up the roof - will one day get it back the way it should be :(

At least they didn't stuff up the motor :)
