[W126 Coupe] To glue, or not to glue ?

Look at the old seal before putting in the new one...take a picture...it's impossible to figure out how to orient the new one if you don't. My seal is curved backwards now...it holds out water but I have to clean out the leaves every of days since there is no channeling. I'll have to redo it one of these days.

As far as know the sunroof seal is not glued on.
The boot seal is and you should use 3M adhesive - this is available from MB
parts dept.
With the boot seal, make sure you line it up right - find the part number on
engraving on the seal...that should go at the centre of the car at the rear,
just under the bootlid button. Then work it round from there. Basically work
out the positioning of the seal before you start spreading the glue...:-)
