BTW, your cousin is not daft, he is an intolerably inconsiderate 
asshole.  You should demand that he pay for a new tranny.  I would take 
him to small claims court if he refuses.  Anyone in your family who 
thinks you are harsh to do so needs to be reminded that you loaned this 
ingrate your Mercedes to make it convenient for him to get to school, 
and he treated it like a rented mule.
