[W126 Coupe] Carpeted dead pedal?

I've been looking high and low for a proper palomino colored dead pedal
for my car. I finally thought I found one, then was told that the dead
pedal the person (mercedessource) had was completely carpeted. Has
anybody heard of this? Sounds nuts to me since it would get very dirty
very quickly, but it seems to be my only choice. Still, it just doesn't
sound possible.
