Hi Richard:

Using Firefox (latest version) use Tools, Options, see and click tab for
Downloads. Set your target directory (make one up (ie My
Documents/Downloads)) for 'Saved' files as the default is Windows/Temp
for opening vs. saving over the web.

Under the Firefox Download Tab check the box to leave the download
manager window open after the download completes to confirm you received
the file successfully. Also click on 'View & Edit Actions'. This will
tell you how Firefox will handle all of the different file types you
download. Look for what application it is set to use for 'wmf' files.
If it's not media player change it. That should do it. I'll bet you
got some other media player that has assumed control of your media files
like Quicktime or something. It'll all show up in the View & Edit
Actions dialog box and it's easy to change.

For reference you are downloading: way_cool_toy.wmv which is just over
3Mb in size. The new tab or window that Firefox opens when the download
commences is of no value in remedying the set-up issue you have so you
can just close it at any time.
