Not neccesarily...AMG was an independant tuner in the days of the w126 and 
what you wanted to have done on your car  was specified in the form of 
ticking boxes on a wish list.

You could have the full AMG bodykit and suspension with no engine 
upgrade....or have the full 6.0 M117 DOHC upgrade with no other work done at 
all.
